In July:    Led by Professor Cai Wei, vice president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and director of Department of Nutrition of the university, 5 professors from the department visited the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill of the United States and Purdue University. The main purpose of the visit was to focus on the current situation of nutrition teaching and research of the two universities. They had a discussion with the relevant leaders on the possibility and specific matters of the cooperation in running schools between the two universities.
