Professor John D. Halamka, specialist of trauma medicine of Harvard Medicine School, lifetime professor of Harvard University, academician of the National Academy of Science, executive vice president of the White House science and technology committee, and Professor Hope Ricciotti, director of gynecology and obstetrics of Beth Israel Hospital, reproductive medicine specialist, chairman of Resident-Attending Physician Group of Harvard, as well as Dr. Wang Zhaoxi, researcher of Harvard School of Public Health attended the launch ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Tang Guoyao, secretary of the Party Committee and President Sun Kun gave the keynote speech. Professor John D. Halamka and Professor Ricciotti spoke highly of introduction of our hospital, believing that considering the complete range of disciplines including pediatrics and adult medicine, Xinhua Hospital should belong to the-first-class hospitals in China no matter in medical scale or in research capacity. In addition, starting from the cooperation of Xinhua-Harvard IVF Center, various levels of collaboration would be launched including medicine, education, research and management.
